Art Break Tour
Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 12:00 - 12:30 PM
Art Break tours are open to the public with a special invitation to our UW faculty, staff and affiliates, and U-District residents. Advance registration is strongly recommended; email .
Join a university faculty member or graduate student for a 30-minute tour. Each month a different faculty and grad student will share a unique perspective on the art on view.
This month’s faculty tour will be led by UW Art History doctoral student Lane Eagles.
Eagles will guide visitors through Parallel Practices: Joan Jonas & Gina Pane .
As a doctoral student at the University of Washington in Seattle, Eagles focus is Italian Renaissance Art, and the interactions between art and culture in the Italian peninsula during the medieval and early modern periods. Her primary research interest concerns crossroads between magic and religion (particularly Catholicism), and the use of art objects in both miraculous legend and magical lore. http://laneeagles.wordpress.com/
